THE EYES OF TRINIDAD | TRINIDAD, CUBA
We had just finished a round of La Canchanchara’s and I was soon able to walk again at my usual stride (fast). Just then my brain says “Mark - stop and walk backwards, you are about to miss a truly spectacular moment”. I stopped, walked backwards in my tracks and to my left I see “Cuba Guy” (aka THE EYES OF TRINIDAD). I take one look at him, stop and say to myself in a most respectful way “he is the OG of Bad-Ass”. I ask him if I can take his picture and he motions me with his finger to step forward. Armed with my 70-200mm I get my shots, thank him, give him a tip and capture one of my absolutely favorite images. “Cuba Guy” was awarded a 1st Place award at the Indiana State Fair “Club” competition, representing the Photo Venture Camera Club.
